Story Behind the Painting: There’s something unique about the atmosphere of night, and this nocturnal scene of sheep in a moonlit field captures that tone perfectly. Interestingly, sheep rarely graze after dark—but these seemed unusually hungry, or perhaps just in the mood for a late-night snack. What first caught my attention was the quiet simplicity of the composition: three sheep scattered across a still pasture under a soft, silvery sky. In the darkness, only faint shapes are visible, gently illuminated by moonlight. Even my signature is subtly “ghosted” into the bottom right corner—intentionally understated to preserve the tranquil mood of the painting.

Story Behind the Painting: I have seen many sunflowers in my life, but something about these particular ones stood out to me. I was drawn to the way they interacted so naturally with their meadow surroundings—how their bright faces seemed to harmonize with the grasses and wildflowers around them. Even though sunflowers are common, there was a quiet beauty and simplicity in this scene that felt special, and I wanted to portray those in this painting.
