Story Behind the Painting: I liked how these blooms seemed to dance across the countryside. There was a pattern within their randomness that I wanted to convey in this painting. This scene showed vibrancy and energy but also brought a sense of balance and harmony. All of this describes what I was feeling as I painted these blooms.

Story Behind the Painting: I was out enjoying nature, taking in the beauty of the flowers, when my eye suddenly caught a butterfly I hadn’t noticed at first. There it was, moving gracefully from flower to flower, just as butterflies do. When I painted this piece, I wanted to emulate those same subtleties I was seeing: the beauty all around and the unexpected joy of noticing something even more beautiful.
